CAPA Wallace with PAAM President Doug Lloyd

Grand Traverse County – During the Michigan Prosecuting Attorneys Mid-Winter Conference, the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM) recognized Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney (CAPA) David Wallace for his 30 years of prosecutorial service to the citizens of Michigan.

“It is hard to believe that I have been doing this for over 30 years,” said David Wallace. Although I knew in Law School that I wanted to work in a prosecutor’s office and make a difference in the community I worked.  After all that time, that desire hasn’t changed.”

As the Huron County CAPA, Mr. Wallace performs a full range of professional assignments with a focus on Circuit Court matters.  He has been with the Huron County Prosecutor’s Office for more than six years, with experience as an assistant prosecutor in other offices, including Eaton County, Calhoun County, and the Prosecutor’s Association of Michigan (PAAM) in Lansing. After working for seven years at PAAM, he became the first director at the National Center for DWI Courts, a division of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals.  In December 2014, he returned to Michigan and went to work for the Huron County Prosecutor’s Office. He was promoted to Chief Assistant in June 2020.

Mr. Rutkowski stated that: “The Huron County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is very fortunate to have the experience and expertise of David Wallace on staff.  I would like to acknowledge David’s 30 years of service in prosecution and thank him for his tireless service to Huron County’s residents.
