Prosecutor’s office welcomes Alexander Pahany as new assistant prosecutor

APA Alexander Pahany

Huron County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Rutkowski is pleased to announce the addition of a new Assistant Prosecuting Attorney to his office. Alexander Pahany joined the office in October 2021. Mr. Pahany holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a graduate degree from the University of St. Thomas—Houston, and a law degree from the Ave Maria School of Law.

Previously a middle school English teacher, Mr. Pahany has been licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan since 2009. He owned his own law firm in Livonia, Michigan, specializing in felony criminal defense in Wayne County. Mr. Pahany is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. “I am very excited to start this new chapter in my legal career,” Pahany said. “The people of Huron County have been so welcoming and I look forward to serving them in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.”

“We are very happy to have Mr. Pahany working at the Huron county Prosecuting Attorney’s office,” said Mr. Rutkowski.  “Mr. Pahany’s practical and courtroom experience will help the Prosecutor’s Office in effectively administering justice to the residents of Huron County.”
